Walsingham Rd- St Andrews, Bristol

Rathbourne was appointed as the Project Manager for the conversion and the complete renovation of a 19th century, 4000sqft, four storey, semi detached house in the sought after area of St Andrews, Bristol. The house external aspects were in a very poor condition.
Once the roof had been replaced and new slates fixed along with a large part of the perished pointing raked out re-pointed, the external property looked as impressive as it always should have. The rear of the property suffered from some historical structural problems, the floors had dropped and large internal cracks were evident in a number of the rooms. This area of work needed careful consideration and required the support from a local structual engineer to guide and stabilise the period property.
The internal space needed a complete re-plan which included adding in two new en suites, one spacious bathroom, the conversion of the damp basement into a large open-plan kitchen/diner, a complete electrical rewire, CAT 6, new advanced heating system and restoration of all existing floors. It was then over to the design team to add the finishing touches to what was a beautiful period renovation, and one that Rathbourne will always to be very proud of.
